It’s Gonna Be Alright
It’s Gonna Be Alright
By Charlene Watson
Are you stressed? Worried? Concerned? Fill in the _________?
Take a deep breath. Focus for just a moment. And say out loud, “Everything’s gonna be alright.”
Friend, I don’t know where you’re at right now, physically, emotionally, or spiritually. You could be overwhelmed by the chaos of life. You could be bored by the monotony of life. Or you could be worried at the current calmness of life, waiting for the other shoe to drop. No matter what you feel, and no matter what your circumstances, you should know that it’s gonna be alright.
When life is falling apart, it’s gonna be alright. God promises this: “And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Rom. 8:28)
When life feels like a daily grind of never-ending sameness, it’s gonna be alright. God says we can change our mindset & attitude by focusing on Him and being thankful: “Rejoice always, pray without ceasing, give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.” (1 Thess. 5:16-18)
When life seems eerily calm and you wonder what’s coming, it’s gonna be alright. God wants us to bring our cares to Him so he can exchange them for His peace: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.” (Phil. 4:6-7)
It’s gonna be alright. No matter what. God’s got it under control, and He can be trusted.
