INDIANAPOLIS-- An Indiana State Senator is being honored for his work with the state's Lifeline Law. Jim Merritt (R-Indianapolis) received the Novo Award from the Indiana Coalition to Reduce Underage Drinking. The law prevents minors from being prosecuted for underage drinking crimes if they request medical attention for another person suffering from alcohol-related complications.
