Indiana health officials now know why cantaloupes left hundreds sick a few weeks ago.. An inspector with the FDA found unclean conditions at the Southern Indiana farm. The inspector's report shows that two strains of salmonella were among cantaloupes, which caused 270 people in 26 states to become ill.
