WFRN's Emergency Antenna
Here are a few pictures of the initial efforts made on November 26th to put up the temporary antenna.

The top of the WFRN FM tower from 380ft to 488ft including the antenna damaged in the storm.

Going Up! Tom and Bob move up the tower carrying the temporary antenna and mounts.

From the ground up to 488ft. Next stop 380ft to install the antenna.

Jim gives the crew and equipment a smooth ride.
While the arial crew installs the antenna James Bellaire (WFRN Tech) and Ed Moore (WFRN President) mount and prepare the borrowed transmitter. On Monday this transmitter was replaced with a much larger unit with more than twice the power.

Ed and James or WFRN identify an unused coax.

Ed, James and Jim Hulse wait for verification from the top.

At altitude. Tom and Bob install the four bay antenna.

Finishing up. The final touches are made - 380ft above our heads.
