The New Cable is Installed
Saturday was a full day spent unspooling and lifting the new feed line in to place.
Sunday was too cold to work safely. On Monday Bob secured the cable and connectors were installed. On Tuesday and Wednesday the old feedline was removed from the tower and many hours working into the night were spent trying to get the new antenna working.

The primary climbers are Bob and Craig. They get to go up to 488ft above the ground.

The cable weighs over 2 pounds per foot, so several lifting points are used to avoid damage. Here one of the harnesses is installed.

The cable heads skyward.

Tyler slows down the reel to prevent the cable from rolling too quickly.

The reel is empty and the cable is all the way up the tower.

A new cable end was placed on the new cable, and ...

A new cable end was placed on the old cable to the building.

Bob heads skyward for another day of work.

How cold was it? This was hot coffee when it was spilled. Note how it froze around the tools that were in the way.
The work will continue as the weather permits. Please pray for continued safety, good weather and the smooth return of Your Friend to its full broadcast strength.
