A Tribute to Ruby Moore Hunsberger
February 28, 1913 - May 21, 2002
On the morning of May 21st our friend Ruby Moore Hunsberger went to be with the Lord. In her many roles as wife, mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, community leader and business leader she was known by all as a devout follower of God and one that could always be counted on to lift up those around her with her joy in the Lord.

When asked one time to tell something about herself, she spoke of serving as President for WFRN for many years after the death of her husband, Clarence Moore, who was founder of the AM and FM stations in Elkhart. She also spoke of the missionary radio station HCJB in Quito, Ecuador, where she had a successful daily radio program. Also being a co-founder in the early 1950's of Crown International was important to her because it enabled the family to support many ministries with its technological advancements.

But for all of us that knew Ruby Moore Hunsberger we will remember her as a true example of faithfulness in God and how she exhibited a godly love in all situations.

We are thankful that she gave to us in service to the Lord. In closing we would like to quote her favorite verse from the King James Version. It is Jeremiah 33:3

“Call unto me, and I will answer thee,
and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not.”

Memorial contributions in memory of Ruby Moore Hunsberger may be made to:
