Ruby Moore Hunsberger, 89, Hubbard Hill Retirement Center, went to be with
the Lord at 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, May 21, 2002, from Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born February 28, 1913, in Nappanee, Indiana; to Clinton C. Clyde and Irene Mae (Moyer) Clyde. Ruby was first married to Rev. Clarence C. Moore, December 2, 1931 in Elkhart. Reverend Moore passed away January 10, 1979. Ruby married Lowell Hunsberger February 1, 1982 in Syracuse, Indiana. Mr. Hunsberger passed away August 28, 1988.
Ruby is survived by one daughter: Mrs. Kay (Thomas) Branch of Elkhart, Indiana. and two sons: Clyde (Sharon) Moore of Elkhart, Indiana and Edwin (Janet) Moore of Goshen, Indiana. One brother: Rev. Robert S. (Audrey) Clyde of Syracuse, Indiana, and two sisters: Agnes Gingrich of Syracuse, Indiana, and Frances Clipp of Buchannan, Michigan. Ruby was blessed by 9 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren.
Preceeding Ruby in death was one brother: Chester Clyde.
Ruby lived a life of service to the Lord. She was Retired Co-Founder of Crown Int., Elkhart; Office Manager for over 30 years and past chairman of the board at Crown Intl; Past President/owner of WFRN FM & AM; Pastors wife in Michigan; and served on the mission field with HCJB World Radio in Quito, Ecuador where she had a very successful radio ministry.
Ruby was a member of the Nappanee Missionary Church, and served as District Representative for Nappanee Missionary Church for many years. Ruby also served on the Board of Directors at Hubbard Hill; was a 1930 graduate of Elkhart High School; and attended one year of Nursing College at Chicago Presbyterian Nursing School.
Funeral services were held at the Nappanee Missionary Church on Sunday, May 26. 2002 with Rev. Gordon Bacon assisted by Rev. Wayne Speicher & Rev. Marvin Engbrecht. Ruby was be laid to rest in the Prairie Street Cemetery, Elkhart. Memorial contributions may be made to Hubbard Hill Estates, 28070 CR 24 W, Elkhart, IN 46517.
